KeraMIX – Webshop for mosaics, custom lamps and laser-cut products

The company was founded in 2004 under the name Keramix Burkolóanyag Kft. In the first few years, its activities focused specifically on the Chinese import of ceramic tiles and factory representation. Its customers were mainly investors and contractors of commercial, hospitality and residential properties, including car showrooms, shopping centres, and later wellness baths and hotels.

Following customer needs, the product range first expanded with bathroom furniture, shower cabins and sanitary ware, and later with lighting technology products.

The composition of partners also expanded to include large retail chains such as Kika, Bauhaus and Bricostore. In 2010, due to the expanded product range and international expansion, the company’s name changed to Keramix Hungary Kft.

By this time, lighting technology products already accounted for more than one third of the revenue, so the company decided to start manufacturing LED panels.

The decision was reinforced by the fact that in 2011 the EU imposed a relatively high anti-dumping duty on tiles originating from China.
